Erectile dysfunction took in Glengormley

Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been seized by Department of Health officials throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A male was spoken with by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently supplying unlicensed impotence medicines by means of the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medication offenses.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: "It is vital that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be unsafe.

"These kinds of products being offered, generally online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no assurance about their security.

"You just do not know what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More notably, you do not know the impact drugs like this might have on your health."
